Lithium Ion or Lithium Polymer cell

The Touch Board uses a single Lithium Ion or Lithium Polymer cell (3.7V). These are often referred to as LiPo batteries for short. Other batteries are not ideal as you will not be able to re-charge them with the on-board LiPo charge circuit.

Am I able to use an Arduino shield for my Lithium Ion battery? I have an Adafruit PowerBoost 500 Shield (Rechargeable 5V Power Shield) and a Lithium Ion Polymer Battery - 3.7v 2500mAh.
