If you are working on a more permanent installation with you Touch Board, it might be a good idea to think about soldering your sensor leads to the boards solderable electrode pads, situated at opposite end to the USB and audio connectors. They are labeled E0-E11 and are connected internally to the large, edge-plated electrodes running the length of the board. Using shielded cable is also a good idea in which case you can ground the shielding to the ground pad at the end of the row after E11.
